The IWCC Copper Bars Committee met on the 13th of June in Dusseldorf, Germany.
The meeting began with an interesting and insightful presentation from copper market Expert Jonathan Barnes, Project Blue, who spoke primarily about major trends impacting on the global and European copper market, giving insights into the FRP market.
The committee then reviewed the latest IWCC statistics for production and demand for copper bars. The committee then received an insightful ‘deep dive’ on trade flows from all major markets.
Finally, the committee discussed the general market situation in both Europe and other major markets.
This event was also the perfect opportunity for members of both committees to network and strengthen relationships with IWCC members from both the Flat Rolled but also the Copper Bars Committee during a dinner held at a local German restaurant.
