Global Copper Semis End-Use Reports
The annual End-Use Report provides the copper industry with detailed information on end-use demand by semis type. It is prepared in conjunction with the International Copper Association (ICA).
The Report contains global data subdivided into country and/or regional groupings for all semis types (copper and alloy) together with estimates for castings and powder shown by end-use demand applications.

Copper Demand Forecasts
Regular supply and demand forecasts for unwrought copper are prepared by the IWCC Joint Statistical Committee. Forecasts are assembled from all of the major copper producing and consuming countries throughout the world, and are available to the copper industry.
The demand forecasts for 2025/26 have now been finalised following the meeting of the IWCC Joint Statistical Committee meeting in London in October 2025.
The forecasts now suggest that global demand in 2025 for refined copper will increase by 3% with a further increase of 1.6% in 2026 to 28,233kt. Both the 2025 and 2026 October demand forecasts are higher than the forecasts prepared in May.
The demand for refined copper in China is forecasted to increase by 3.1% in 2025, with an estimated growth of 1.0% in 2026, to 15,478kt.
EU27+UK might see a increase in refined copper demand in 2025 of 1.4% and a 0.7% increase in 2026. For Europe as a whole, demand is forecasted to increase by 1.8% in 2025 and grow by a further 1.4% in 2026.
In Africa we are forecasting an increase of demand of 3.0% in 2025 but a decrease of 3.9% in 2026, primarily due to Egypt.
Asia we estimate will increase by 3.2% in 2025 with a further increase in 2026 of 2.0% to 20,763kt.
In North America (Canada, Mexico and the USA), the latest forecast suggests that refined copper demand in 2025 might increase by 3.2% to 2.415 million tonnes with an increase of 0.4% for 2026.
The IWCC Joint Statistical Committee will meet next in May 2026 in Amsterdam to further review these forecasts.

World Trade Database
The IWCC World Trade Database reports on refined copper and copper and copper-alloy semis trade from over 80 of the world’s major economies.
The report is based on Excel and is displayed as a Pivot Table. The parameters (Reporting Country, Partner Country, Flow, Product & Year) can be manipulated within the Pivot Table to show data in a variety of combinations.
The World Trade Database is available free of charge to IWCC Members and Copper Producers.
-
Economic data & metal prices
The IWCC provides members monthly updates of developments on the LME (London Metal Exchange) and monthly macro-economic data published by the OECD and EU.

IWCC Product Committee datasets
Each of the IWCC’s 5 Product Committees have their own series of datasets based on the needs of their market.
Members of IWCC Product Committees can access this information by logging in to the Members’ Area.
