The IWCC attended CESCO Asia Copper Week in Shanghai in November. This annual gathering brings together leaders from across the global copper value chain, especially from companies based in China.
Meetings were held with IWCC members, copper fabricators and a number of important stakeholders in China to discuss the latest trends and developments in the global copper semis industry and the work of the IWCC.
As part of this week, IWCC Vice President, Mike Smith, also met with China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association (CNFIA) Deputy Secretary General, Dr Wu Qiong. They discussed ways to progress the activities outlined in the MoU between the two associations on topics such as events and industry data and statistics.
