The IWCC and the China Nonferrous Metals Fabrication Industry Association (CNFA)  have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen links between the two associations and help support and promote the development of copper and copper alloy fabrication industry across the globe.  The MoU was agreed in principle at a meeting between the two organisations’ Presidents in Shanghai in November 2023.

The MoU will operate in the ‘spirit of equality, mutual benefit and friendly cooperation’.  It outlines an ambition to work more closely on a number of high-level areas including dialogue on policy issues, attend and support each other’s activities, and the collection, analysis and reporting of industry statistics and data.  In addition, it was agreed that the leaders of both associations would meet periodically in the future, and will review the MoU on an annual basis.
